Also referred to as modular or panel radiator this type of heat exchanger is fitted in banks in a common header plate of a radiator with rubber seals. This means they suffer less thermal expansion strain then conventional radiators. Various sizes and quantities will be used dependant on the required heat exchange performance. Because of their design, they can be serviced in situ. Generally used in generator sets or heavy duty/off highway applications
